Home Ed Creative Workshop

Session Details
Join us for hands-on, creative workshops specifically designed for home-educated children! At our RE:PLAY Sustainability Studio, Unit 16, Quayside, Media City Our Home Ed Scrap Workshops offer a welcoming, creative space for home-educating families to explore, make, and learn together. Each session is a blend of open-ended play, hands-on building, and gentle guidance designed to nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Children are invited to dive into our ever-changing collection of recycled materials – from cardboard and plastic to wood, fabric, tubes, and treasure-like odds and ends. With glue guns, tape, and imagination at the ready, they can invent characters, design machines, build habitats, or simply follow their own ideas wherever they lead. There’s no set outcome or “right” way to create – just an invitation to experiment, problem-solve, and bring ideas to life in a calm, supportive environment. Sessions are rooted in sustainability, helping children understand the value of reusing materials and caring for the planet, while developing fine motor skills, teamwork, and self-expression. Workshops are held weekly at our Re:Play Studio in Salford Quays and are suitable for children aged 5+, accompanied by an adult. We keep group sizes small so there’s plenty of space, tools, and attention for each child’s unique process
